Snailding - snail just wants to draw something. The nickname 'snail' was named by friends as I always do things slowly and 'Ding' is partial of my name. Gradually, I like this nick very much because it represents me ~ slowly but steady. But when comes to things I am interested in, I am fast and able to complete with enthusiastically. Just like drawing, whenever I have ideas or inspiration, I wish I can immediately have my drawing pad and laptop to work on, that's how each drawing was born.
All my designs are hand-drawn, every stroke with my passion. Thus to me, my every drawing is unique and one-and-only-one in this world. Isn't it wonderful that you have a hand drawn card for your wedding, friend's birthday or just to express your feelings to your loved one. Although hand drawn is rough and raw, but in this full-of-computer-designed world, we should treasure and appreciate the origins of drawing. Thus I wish to share my drawings with you and my target is to draw a card especially just for you !
Snailding's workspace
A little bit more about snailding, this is my work desk. Even though is just a little corner, but I feel flexible to arrange my stationeries, my drawing pad and decorations also. I have my little friends to work together with me too, how nice !
You will wonder how is each drawing born. I hand draw each drawing by using Bamboo Pen and Tablet. This Bamboo set came with Corel Painter software. So since then, I used this my best companion to help me complete my each drawing. Thus all my drawings can be kept nicely, digitally in my laptop. Then I will edit the drawing to add in some designs for card layout and printing arrangement. Once completed, I will print out the card design by using Epson printer. I had changed few printers in order to get the best to bring out my drawing style and hand drawn feels on printout. Therefore, even though my paper drawings are produced by printing but it still carries the spirit I have on hand drawing. Just that I use the latest technologies to draw, keep and produce.
